When we took over the property in 2006, on the recommendation of Nicolas Thienpont we decided to carry out a thorough restoration of the vines by drastically pruning the old vinestocks. Nature quickly recovered and we have not had to wait long for the results…


All the wines produced are bottled at the Château.

The buds are pruned and the
« green grapes » will be removed from the yields to ensure that the grapes suitable
for harvesting will be of the
highest quality.

All the wines are produced on the best terroir
in the appellation:
clay-chalk on a rocky ridge.
We find the same kind of soil on the best plateaux of Saint-Emilion

Every stage of wine-growing and wine-making is considered crucial in order to guarantee a high-quality product.

Château Pellebouc offers four different wines, described below by the Château's œnologist Nicolas Guichard, Chairman of wine-growing and Wine Designer:


The first vintage in 2006 won the Médaille d'Or (Gold Medal) in Paris for the Roc red and the Médaille d'Argent (Silver Medal) in Bordeaux for the Roc white! Since then not a uear has gone by without winning a Médaille d'Or or Médaille d'Argent for one of the 4 Pellebouc wines, meeting the expectations of all wine lovers. This rather exceptional feat is a sign that the vineyard has a more than promising future.
